Installation guide

Installation guide

Windows

  1. Download AUREX-Setup-x.y.z.exe and check its SHA-256 (PowerShell: Get-FileHash .\AUREX-Setup-*.exe) matches the value above.
  2. Run it. Choose the install folder; it creates a desktop shortcut and Start Menu entry.
  3. If the installer isn't code-signed yet, SmartScreen may say “Windows protected your PC”. After checking the hash, choose More info → Run anyway. Never disable SmartScreen or Microsoft Defender.
  4. On first launch: add your Claude API key (stored encrypted on your PC), choose the folders AUREX may work in, and test your microphone.
  5. Windows may ask whether AUREX can use networks — allow private networks only, so your phone can connect on home Wi-Fi.

Android

  1. Download the APK on your phone (or scan the QR code on AUREX desktop → Install).
  2. Open it. Android asks you to allow installs from your browser or file manager — allow it for this install, then you can turn it back off.
  3. Keep Google Play Protect on. If it warns about an unknown developer, review the warning, then choose “Install anyway”.
  4. Open AUREX → Pair with desktop → scan the QR code shown on your PC (AUREX → Phone).
  5. Grant only what you want: notifications, notification access (to read/reply), contacts, phone (to call), microphone (voice).
  6. Updates install over the existing app only when signed with the same key — always update from this page.
